25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

The City of Manitowoc, in partnership with the Eagles Club, will host a community remembrance ceremony at 5:00 p.m. at Red Arrow Park to commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.
The ceremony will take place at Red Arrow Park, on the new platform on the hillside overlooking the beach and will provide an opportunity for Manitowoc residents to come together in remembrance and reflection.
The ceremony will feature the National Anthem performed by the Clipper City Chordsmen, followed by remarks from the Manitowoc Fire Chief Ben Kraynek, Manitowoc Police Chief John Musial and Mayor Justin M. Nickels. Retired Captain of Detectives Pete McGinty will also perform a bagpipe tribute as part of the ceremony.
The 25th anniversary marks a significant moment for the nation and provides an opportunity to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, remember the first responders and others who served in the aftermath, and reflect on the courage and resilience demonstrated the days and the years that followed.
The ceremony is open to the public. residents are welcome to attend this community gathering and join together in honoring and remembering those whose lives were forever changed by the events of September 11.
