25 Years of Faith, Hope, and Impact - 25th Anniversary Celebration at The Cross in Effingham

This year, The Cross at the Crossroads celebrates 25 years of sharing the Christian message of love, forgiveness, hope, and eternal life through Jesus Christ. As our nation also commemorates the 25th anniversary of September 11 and celebrates America's 250th birthday, this milestone offers an opportunity to reflect on God's faithfulness, give thanks for our freedoms, and pray for our country and its future.
The community is invited to celebrate 25 Years of Faith, Hope, and Community on Saturday, September 19, from 6:00–9:00pm.
Admission is free, and everyone is welcome! Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and spend an evening celebrating God's faithfulness.
The evening will include:
• Free Food & Fellowship (6:00–7:00pm): Enjoy complimentary hamburgers and hot dogs, generously provided by Effingham Save A Lot and The Cross Foundation.
• Family Fun: Children can enjoy a bounce house and glow sticks. The first 500 families will receive a special commemorative anniversary giveaway.
• Explore the Cross Campus: Take time to walk the Life of Jesus Pathway, spend a few quiet moments in the Chapel, watch the inspiring story of how The Cross at the Crossroads came to be, and browse the Welcome Center's Christian gift shop.
• Live Music by CCR II: Relax and enjoy an uplifting mix of Christian favorites, patriotic selections, and light classic rock.
• Community Prayer Service: Pastor Roger Marshall, one of the original board members of The Cross at the Crossroads, will emcee the evening and lead a special prayer service. Together, we'll thank God for His faithfulness over the past 25 years and pray for our nation, its leaders, and future generations.
• Effingham's First-Ever Drone Show (Approximately 7:30pm): As darkness falls, hundreds of synchronized drones will create breathtaking Christian and patriotic images choreographed to music, celebrating faith, freedom, and the hope found in Jesus Christ. This spectacular presentation by SKYWORX promises to be unlike anything ever seen before in Effingham!
• Prayer & Praise Wall: Inside the Welcome Center, guests can add a prayer request or praise to our special Prayer & Praise Wall. Prayers and praises will become part of a meaningful display of faith and will be prayed over by Cross volunteers following the event.
