About this Event

Blanket of Dreams

The 24th Annual Blanket of Dreams is a day where the community comes together to make blankets for the homeless. Always the Saturday before Thanksgiving, this year is on November 21, 2026 from 8am to 6 pm.
There is no need to know how to sew - just cut and tie. Bring 4 yards of fleece and a pair of scissors for every blanket you would like to make. If you cannot afford fleece, there will be some available for you to use.
Everyone is invited - An intergenerational event where all families, friends, scouts, teams, service groups, work groups, singles, are welcome! Come with others or come by yourself and make new friends!

Come for an hour or stay all day! No need to make reservations or RSVP. Just come!
Free refreshments will be provided for all blanket-makers throughout the day.
Blankets will be given to The Franciscan Outreach shelters and Our Lady of Angels Mission in Chicago.
