On November 16th, we will be having an author event with Mariia Kharytonova, a Ukrainian refugee who co-edited and wrote a short story in the book 24. Like many Ukrainians, her life divided when her home country was invaded on February 24th, 2022, into a before and an after. 24 details Ukrainian civilians’ and soldiers’ experiences from the first day of the invasion and beyond. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event, to be bought with cash or check. You can also look for copies in the Pioneerland system or on the website 24thebook.com The author event will take place upstairs in the Multipurpose Room. Starting at 10 am, we will have a coffee hour, then the author talk at 11 am, with a book signing and Q&A to follow. This is a free event, but due to room capacity, those interested in attending must pick up a ticket from the Information Desk at the Willmar Public Library.
This program is sponsored by Minnesota Library Legacy and the Friends of the Willmar Public Library.
