Dear Friend,Please mark your calendars for an upcoming extraordinary event that you will not want to miss. On Sunday, September 21, 2025, Holy Virgin Mary & Shoghagat Armenian Church will host the 23rd Annual “Taste of Armenia” Festival.
This is more than just a festival – it’s an invitation to reconnect with Armenian heritage in the most delicious and culturally enriching way possible.
When you step into our Jamjamian Cultural Hall beginning at 12:00 p.m. on September 21st, expect to find yourself surrounded by the inviting aroma of authentic Armenian cuisine including khorovats barbeque, and melt-in-your-mouth homemade pastries. We will also have the “Vernissage Midwest” market featuring hand made products imported from Armenia, a Taraz photo booth in traditional Armenian costumes, folk dancing and a lively atmosphere resonating with music and joy. We also added a covered outdoor seating area for our guests to enjoy.
Each year, the items in the Vernissage grows in number and variety, and this year is no different. Come see the new items.
It’s a celebration that beckons you to join with Armenians and community friends to pay homage to Armenia’s 34th anniversary of independence. As we gather to enjoy delicious Armenian cuisine and share stories, laughter, and the true essence of our culture, we invite you to take part in the fellowship.
We are not only asking you to attend; we are inviting you to participate in the heart of the festival’s excitement. The Grand Raffle, featuring an array of prizes totaling $1,000.00, holds the promise of adventure and the thrill of winning. Picture yourself as the lucky winner of the grand prize – $500.00 in cash – or perhaps one of the five additional prizes of $100.00 each.
To ensure the success of this event, we invite you to support us by purchasing packets of raffle tickets. Each purchase of a five-ticket packet not only contributes to the financial foundation of our festival but also entitles you to a bonus raffle ticket providing an additional chance to win cash prizes. If they were mailed to you, please return the completed ticket stubs (the small section of the ticket only) with your money as soon as possible by mail or in-person on the day of the festival before 3:30 p.m. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the festival.
