22nd Canadian National Kendo Championships

The 22nd Canadian National Kendo Championships and Annual General Meeting will be held August 7–9, 2026 at the BCIT Campus in Burnaby, British Columbia. The Championships will be dedicated to the Senior National Championships, and the Annual General Meeting will take place during the event weekend.
Further schedule details will be circulated to provincial liaisons in the coming months.
We are honoured to welcome two distinguished guest instructors for this year’s seminars. Team Canada Men’s Head Coach, Kiwada Daiki sensei (Kyoshi 8 Dan), returns to Canada for his third visit and will be joined by Yoshinari Sasagawa sensei (Kyoshi 7 Dan), kendo instructor for the Hyogo Prefectural Police.
We look forward to welcoming competitors, officials, and supporters from across Canada to Burnaby for this national gathering of the Canadian kendo community.
