About this Event
The Maryland Association of Floodplain and Stormwater Managers (MAFSM) Annual Conference draws attendees from local, state, and federal government, as well as the private sector throughout Maryland and even surrounding states. Each year it attracts over 175 engineers, planners, water resource professionals, and NFIP Coordinators.
We will have networking opportunities, vendor exhibits, and a packed agenda with approximately 20 technical presentations. Six (6) CECs from ASFPM are PENDING for this event .

AGENDA HOURS:
- 7:30am-8:30am: Registration & Continental Breakfast
- 8:30am: Conference Begins
- 11:45am-1pm: Hosted Lunch
- 5:00pm: Conference Adjourn
- 5:00pm-6:00pm: Cocktail Reception (Optional)
KEYNOTE SPEAKER:
Our Keynote Speaker will be Chad Berginnis, CFM, Executive Director, Association of the State Floodplain Managers.
SPEAKER ABSTRACTS:

MAFSM is seeking abstracts on various water resource topics, including stormwater management, flood risk identification and communication, hazard mitigation, climate change resiliency, and more!
If you would like to submit an abstract for our Annual Conference on November 5, 2025, in Linthicum Heights, MD, please complete this form before 6 PM ET on August 29. Speakers will be notified on or around September 15. Speaking slots are for 30 minutes, and all presenters must register for the conference.
MAFSM CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIPS
MAFSM supports the education of its members by offering up to 10 tuition-free scholarships (including a one-year association membership) to its Annual Fall Conference. These scholarships are provided to community officials who would not otherwise be able to attend and would benefit greatly from implementing lessons learned in their communities.

Your registration fee includes breakfast, lunch, a conference completion certificate, and a 1-year membership to MAFSM.
Fees are:

- Federal Govt Employees* - $175
- Private Sector / Consultant - $195
*No government contractors and must have a .gov email address

HOTEL ROOM BLOCK
The Maritime Conference Center has a limited block of sleeping rooms. The guest room rate is $165.00/per night + taxes (Single Occupancy) which includes WiFi, airport/train station shuttle service, dinner buffet (5-6:30pm) and breakfast. Double occupancy is $210.00/per night + taxes.
