Come join us on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 5:30pm to 7pm, for the 20th Annual Sally Short's Holiday in the Park event. This event will involve the illumination of James Short Park for the holiday season. The initial lighting will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 5:30pm. Bring the whole family for a true holiday celebration complete with Santa Claus and live holiday music and take a free wagon ride through the park to view the lights. Come out to see our large illuminated "Elf of the Shelf" before it moves around the Township each week for our annual Holiday Elf Contest. More information regarding our Elf and where you will be able to find him will be posted seperately. Refreshments will be available for purchase and all proceeds will directly support next year's event.
*Event Parking: Parking is available at the 2 parking lots near the softball fields and Callie’s Garden. Parking is also available at the Loyalsock Recreation Center on Four Mile Drive. The pool parking lot will not be available.
Can't make it to the inital lighting? The park will be illuminated each night for the public to view from December 7, 2024, to January 1st, 2025.
