Competition Details:
The 2027 William & Mary Law School Negotiation Tournament will take place on February 26 and February 27, 2027. Registration will open on October 1, 2026 and will close on January 11, 2027. We hope to see you there!
Each attending team will compete in two preliminary rounds on Friday, February 26. The highest-scoring twelve teams will continue to a semi-final round on Saturday, February 27. Later that day, two teams will proceed to a final round.
One coach may observe their team's rounds, but they are not permitted to participate or join their team's caucus.
All teams and coaches are invited to observe the final round. A winning team will be announced soon after, and both final teams will receive a trophy.
Further information, including score sheets, rules, and the fact pattern, will be sent directly to the team members and coaches via email two weeks before the competition. In addition, you can find general information on our website.
Payment:
The entry fee for a school’s first two-person team is $600. The entry fee for a second two-person team is $550. Teams may bring coaches if they wish. There is an additional $50 fee per coach attending. Please register all coaches in advance to avoid a $100 entry fee upon arrival at the tournament.
If you register for the tournament and later wish to drop out, you must notify us at [email protected]. Refunds will not be available if requested after February 5, 2027.

Team Information Form:
If you choose to register for this tournament, you will receive an email including a link to a team information form at a later date. We will distribute this form on a weekly basis begining on November 18, 2026. We know teams have different processes and timelines for selecting which competitors and coaches will represent them at the tournament, and sending this form at a later date attempts to accomodate those considerations. Please complete the form in its entirety.
Teams that fail to submit a completed team information form by Friday, February 5, 2027 forfeit their spot in the 2027 tournament and will be issued a refund.

Waitlist:
If you would like to register for the tournament but find that we have reached our capacity, you can join the waitlist via this website. If you join the waitlist and are offered a ticket, you will have seven days to claim your team's spot.
