York County Youth in Agriculture Presentation Night Contests

Contest Divisions:

Cloverbud: Ages 5 – 8 as of January 1st, 2025

Junior: Ages 9 – 13 as of January 1st, 2025

Senior: Ages 14 – 18 as of January 1st, 2025

General Rules:

1. All entries must be dropped off at the York Extension Office (120 N. Congress St, York, SC 29745) by March 17th at 5:00 PM. Please communicate with York County 4-H Agent if pick-up arrangements need to be made.

2. All entries must include the following information on the back, as a title page (essay and poems) or enclosed in an envelope and affixed to the project by tape, string, etc.:

a. Name

b. Age as of January 1, 2026 & Birthdate (MM/DD/YYYY)

c. 4-H County

d. Contest Category

3. Entries failing to conform to contest rules will be disqualified.

4. The top 3 Junior and top 3 Senior entries for each contest category will receive awards. All entries will be awarded ribbons based on the Danish System. ALL CLOVERBUD participants will not be ranked or placed but will be evaluated and receive participation ribbons.

5. Entry must be work done by the exhibitor.

6. The contest and York County 4-H/FFA are not liable for any damage to the art or award during transportation or display. The contest will do its best to care for each piece of art, but accidents may happen.

7. All entries must be easily related to the agriculture industry.

8. All entries will be on display at the Youth in Agriculture Presentation night.

Refund statement: Full payment is due upon registration. No refunds will be issued within one week of the start of the event.

Membership requirement:

Current 4-H membership is not required for particiaption in this event, but you must preregister.

Custodial Care: Please note that this event and its coordinators do not assume custodial care of youth in attendance. Adults (parents, guardians, volunteers, coaches, teachers, or other chaperones) must be present for the supervision of youth participants.
