2026 Wylie 500 Pedal Car Race

The Wylie Downtown Merchants Association, the City of Wylie, Ballard Street Cafe, and Community Wealth Advisors-Raymond James, present the 2026 Wylie 500 Pedal Car Race in Historic Downtown Wylie.

Kids ages 2-5 select a pedal car provided by local merchants and race 500 inches down Ballard Avenue in heats of 7. The $15 entry fee includes a T-shirt and ribbon. Winners in each age bracket (2-3 & 4-5) will receive trophies. Proceeds benefit area Special Olympics and beautification of historic downtown Wylie.

Spots are limited, so register your speed racer today. This is a rain-or-shine event.

Schedule:

Ages 2-3, Check-in 1:00 pm; Races start at 2:00 pm (please arrive no later than 1:45 pm)

Ages 4-5, Check-in any time between 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm; Races start at 3:00 pm (racers with siblings in the ages 2-3 category may check in beginning at 1 pm)(Check-in time does not impact which heat the child races in)
