Sisters of Nia is proud to present our Third Annual Woman on Fire Gala on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 3:00–7:00 PM at the Dante Event Center in Sacramento.
This year's theme, “Lighting the Way: Educating. Empowering. Inspiring the Next Generation,” celebrates six extraordinary Black women whose leadership, dedication, and service are creating opportunities, opening doors, and inspiring the next generation.
We are honored to recognize:

- Dr. Malika Hollinside
- Lorreen Pryor
- Meshal McCauley
- Shonna McDaniels
Each of these remarkable women is lighting the way in her own unique way. Through education, advocacy, mentorship, cultural preservation, leadership, and community service, they are helping young people see what is possible and inspiring them to reach their full potential.
The Woman on Fire Gala is more than an evening of recognition. It is an opportunity to celebrate the women who are investing in our communities today while helping to create a brighter future for the generations that follow.
All proceeds from the Woman on Fire Gala will support Sisters of Nia programs, helping us continue our work to empower young women of color through education, mentorship, cultural enrichment, and leadership development.
