2026 WAWA Westside Campout

Join West Atlanta Watershed Alliance for our annual Westside Campout at the Outdoor Activity Center!

Spend a night under the stars in a beautiful old-growth forest while enjoying food, fellowship, music, and outdoor adventure. This campout is designed especially for first-time and beginner campers. No camping experience is required, and some camping equipment can be provided (first come, first serve). Our staff will be available to help participants set up tents and get comfortable at camp.

• Dates: Saturday, September 26 to Sunday, September 27
• Location: Outdoor Activity Center, 1442 Richland Road, Atlanta, GA 30310
• Check-in: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM on Saturday
• Check-out: 7:30 AM - 9:30 AM on Sunday

Campout participants will enjoy dinner, African drumming, a community bonfire with s'mores, a continental breakfast, and a guided morning meditative hike through the forest. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to unplug, connect with nature, and build lasting memories together.

Check-in begins at 2:00 PM and closes at 4:00 PM. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate late arrivals, so please plan to arrive during the check-in window.

This event is family-friendly. All minors (under the age of 18) must be accompanied by an adult.

Campout registration includes:

• Campsite reservation
• Dinner
• Continental breakfast
• African drumming
• Bonfire and s'mores
• Morning meditative hike

NOTE: Registration for the campout experience will close Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

Not ready to camp overnight?

We also offer a limited number of a la carte tickets for the African drumming and bonfire experience or the morning meditative hike. These tickets are for the selected activity only and do not include camping, meals, or access to any other campout activities.
