2026 Walk for Mental Health

Dear Panhandle Community,
1 in 5 people are affected by mental illness - our families, our friends, our neighbors, church members, and our community. Often, substance abuse, school and work problems, family dysfunction, homelessness, and suicide are caused by the underlying issue of mental illness. It affects Amarillo. It affects us. Let's walk together to: raise awareness, end stigma, encourage treatment, and improve mental health services in our community.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 10, 1-5 pm at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 1601 S. Georgia St. (Courtyard area, Bryan St. side), We are encouraging our community leaders, mental health peers, families, friends and health providers to walk with us and donate to our cause. This year we will have live entertainment and free food, but no t-shirts or registration fees. Community Booths are allowed.
All funds will be evenly divided between NAMI Texas Panhandle and AAMHC-Agape Center, both 501(c)3 nonprofits. Funds will support their FREE, vital, unduplicated mental health services to hundreds of people in the Texas Panhandle. Ask about their:

Educational classes
Job skills training
You can click on the buttons on the Walk website to either sponsor or donate online, or you can download the forms on the Walk website and mail them to the address on the form. The sponsorship deadline is September 26 in order to get your name/organization name listed on the banner. Sponsors will also be recognized on social media.
Sponsorship Levels
Here are the Sponsorship Levels:
DIAMOND LEVEL $2,500 donation - Sponsor gets their name on large Walk banner as Diamond Giver and recognition on social media.
PLATINUM LEVEL $1000 donation - Sponsor gets their name on large Walk banner as Platinum Giver and recognition on social media.
GOLD LEVEL $500 donation - Sponsor gets their name on large Walk banner as Gold Giver and recognition on social media.
SILVER LEVEL $250 donation - Sponsor gets recognition on social media as a Silver Giver.
BRONZE LEVEL $100 donation - Sponsor gets recognition on social media as a Bronze Giver.
