Celebrate the USA's Semiquincentennial* - 250th anniversary of the 1776 United States Declaration of Independence with another great 4th of July Parade in Wakefield, MA.
*Other names may include Bisesquincentennial, Sestercentennial or the Quarter Millennial - we'll see what sticks!
Announcing the T-Shirt design contest for the 2026 parade - Design needs to include the 250th anniversary theme and "Celebrate July 4th in Wakefield". Need to be single or two color on white shirt. Entries need to be in by November 18, 2025. More details will follow.
Wakefield Independence Day Committee welcomes new and returning volunteers!! The Annual Meeting is October 21 with election for openings on the WIDC board. WIDC is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible.
Applications to participate in the parade open January 1, 2026 and can be found on the website: www.julyparade.org
