The annual Veterans Day at the Iowa State Fair Parade will celebrate America 250 this year Aug. 17th at 11a.m., presented by the Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs (IDVA) and the Iowa National Guard.
IDVA will post entry applications for the Veterans Day at the Iowa State Fair Parade on the departmental website at dva.iowa.gov in early February 2026. All veterans and supporters are invited to participate with an application.
A link to the application will be in an 'alert' at the top of the department home page, under "Related Files" on this page, and linked in weekly press releases. The deadline for entry applications is Aug. 1st. Interested groups can access the application from the web site, or download it directly with the button below.
Who: All Iowa Veterans & Supporters.
What: Annual Veterans Day at the Iowa State Fair Parade.
When: The event is August 17th, 11 a.m. The application deadline is August 1st.
Where: The event is on the Iowa State Fair Grounds Grand Concourse. The parade is planned for the traditional route (main concourse south of the Grandstand) at the Iowa State Fair Grounds.
