Want to learn more about how the City of Alvin operates? Join us for the City of Alvin’s UpFront Citizens Academy!
This engaging 8-week program gives residents, business owners, Alvin ISD seniors, and Alvin College students a behind-the-scenes look at local government. Participants will learn how City departments operate, tour City facilities, meet staff, and build valuable community connections in an interactive and fun environment.
The academy will meet every Monday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, beginning September 14 through November 2, 2026.
Graduates will be recognized by Alvin City Council on November 5, 2026.
Space is limited, so don’t wait to apply!
Applications are available at www.alvin-tx.gov or can be picked up from the City Secretary’s Office. Applications will be accepted until September 9, 2026.
