Елитът на европейското планинско колоездене се събира в България! За втори път в историята страната ни е домакин на Европейското първенство по спускане (DHI) след незабравимия шампионат през 2013 г. в Пампорово.
Това историческо завръщане затвърждава ключовата роля на България на международната колоездачна карта.
Домакинството на Витоша е огромно признание за родната спортна общност, за дисциплината спускане и за планината, като дестинация за екстремни спортове от най-висок ранг!
Събитието е част от официалния календар на Международния колоездачен съюз (UCI) като континентален шампионат (UCI CC) и ще събере стотици състезатели, отбори и хиляди фенове на планинското колоездене в столицата!
Витоша е най-старият природен парк на Балканския полуостров, а планината е истинската люлка на зимните спортове, алпинизма и планинското колоездене в България.
Поради непосредствената си близост до София и инфраструктурата на града, Витоша предлага отлични условия за домакинството на подобни форуми, каквито малко европейски столици притежават.
Трасето за спускане „Лалето“ (Laleto MTB Track) е разположено в непостредствена близост до ски писта Витошко лале и едноименния лифт.
Терена е съчетание на суровия и естествен планински релеф с прецизно оформени допълнителни елементи и включва масивни скални секции (като емблематичните сегменти Rocky Balboa, Bedrock и Three Rocks), технични завои и скоростни прави, които обещават брутално предизвикателство за състезателите и невероятно шоу за публиката!
• Дължина на трасето: 1820 метра
• Денивелация: 403 метра
• Финална зона: 1507 метра надморска височина
• Транспорт до старта: 3-седалков лифт „Витошко лале“, адаптиран за колоездачи (капацитет 1500 души/час).
📝 ЗАПИСВАНИЕ И ИЗИСКВАНИЯ КЪМ СЪСТЕЗАТЕЛИТЕ
Записването за участие стартира официално на 30 май 2026 г., през сайта на Европейския Колоездачен Съюз, а крайният срок за записване е 5 август 2026 г. в 23:59 CET.
Право на участие имат единствено състезатели с европейско спортно гражданство в категориите: U15, U17, Juniors, Elite и Masters (Мъже и Жени).
1️⃣ Състезатели, изпратени от Национални федерации (Национални отбори)
• Всяка национална федерация има право да запише безплатно до 3 жени и 3 мъже в категория Юноши (Juniors) и до 3 жени и 3 мъже в категория Елит (Elite).
• Регистрацията се извършва директно от федерациите на портала на UEC
• Всички състезатели от националните отбори са длъжни да карат с официалните национални екипи.
2️⃣ Допълнителни състезатели по квоти (Quota B) и индивидуално записване
За категориите Мъже Елит (Men Elite) и Мъже Юноши (Men Junior) има специфични критерии за допускане извън основните национални квоти:
• Мъже Елит: Трябва да притежават минимум 20 UCI точки в индивидуалната ранглиста по спускане (към 05.08.2026); ИЛИ да са част от официален UCI World Series MTB / UCI MTB Team; ИЛИ да са действащи национални шампиони. Федерацията им може да заяви до 6 допълнителни състезатели (срещу такса), които също трябва да носят одобрена национална екипировка. Списъците за Quota B се изпращат от федерациите до 10 август 2026 г.
• Мъже Юноши: Трябва да имат поне 2 UCI точки в ранглистата; ИЛИ да са в UCI отбор; ИЛИ да са национални шампиони. Федерацията може да добави до 8 състезатели в Quota B.
• Индивидуални състезатели и Ветерани (Masters): Тези, които се записват самостоятелно и не влизат в безплатните квоти на федерациите, се регистрират и заплащат индивидуално през следния линк: https://api.endu.net/r/i/105903 (Важно за Masters: Задължително е да притежават валиден мастърс лиценз и да отговарят на правилата на UCI за международния мастърс календар ).

The elite of European mountain biking is gathering in Bulgaria! For the second time in history, our country is hosting the European Downhill Championships (DHI), following the unforgettable 2013 championship in Pamporovo. This historic return solidifies Bulgaria’s key role on the global cycling map.
Hosting the event on Vitosha is a massive recognition for our native sports community, for the downhill discipline, and for the mountain itself as a top-tier destination for extreme sports. The event is part of the official International Cycling Union (UCI) calendar as a Continental Championship (UCI CC) and will bring together hundreds of riders, teams, and thousands of high-adrenaline fans!
🌲 VITOSHA – THE GREEN HEART AND CRADLE OF MOUNTAIN SPORTS
Vitosha Nature Park is the oldest nature park on the Balkan Peninsula. It is the true cradle of winter sports, mountaineering, and mountain biking in Bulgaria. Located literally right above the capital city of Sofia, the mountain offers a unique level of accessibility that very few European capitals possess.
The "Laleto" MTB Track is designed to remarkably blend raw, natural mountain terrain with precisely crafted man-made features. Massive rock sections (such as the emblematic Rocky Balboa, Bedrock, and Three Rocks segments), technical corners, and fast straights promise a brutal challenge for the riders and an incredible show for the audience!
• Track Length: 1820 meters
• Vertical Drop: 403 meters
• Finish Area: 1507 meters above sea level
• Transport to the Start: 3-seat chairlift "Vitoshko Lale", adapted for mountain bikes (capacity of 1500 people/hour).
📝 REGISTRATION AND RIDER REQUIREMENTS
Registration officially opens on May 30, 2026, at 12:00 CET. The final deadline for all registrations is August 5, 2026, at 23:59 CET.
Participation is exclusively open to athletes holding a European sporting nationality in the following categories: U15, U17, Juniors, Elite, and Masters (Men & Women).
1️⃣ Riders registered by National Federations (National Teams)
• Each National Federation has the right to register up to 3 women and 3 men in the Junior category and up to 3 women and 3 men in the Elite category free of charge.
• Registration is done directly by the federations via the UEC portal: https://uec.evodata.it/landing/index.php
• All national team riders must compete in their official national jerseys.
2️⃣ Supplementary Riders (Quota B) and Individual Registration
For the Men Elite and Men Junior categories, specific eligibility criteria apply outside of the main national quotas:
• Men Elite: Must have obtained at least 20 UCI points in the individual UCI DHI ranking (as of 05.08.2026); OR belong to an official UCI World Series MTB Team / UCI MTB Team; OR be the reigning National Champion. Their federation can enter up to 6 supplementary riders (Quota B, subject to an entry fee), who must also wear approved national team clothing. Quota B lists must be sent by the federations by August 10, 2026.
• Men Junior: Must have at least 2 UCI points in the ranking; OR belong to a UCI team; OR be the reigning National Champion. Federations can add up to 8 riders in Quota B.
• Individual Riders and Masters: Those registering independently outside of the free federation quotas must register and pay individually using the following link: https://api.endu.net/r/i/105903 (Important for Masters: You must hold a valid masters license and meet all UCI requirements for participating in international masters calendar events).

One of the destination's biggest advantages is its quick and easy access. The main gateway from the city to the mountain is the southern Dragalevci district. From there, an asphalt road leads directly to the "Vitoshko Lale" ski track area.

• August 14 (Friday): Official Downhill Training by groups (Group A, B, C) from 08:00 to 18:00. 18:00 – Team Managers Meeting at the Finish Race House.
• August 15 (Saturday): Morning Official Downhill Training. 13:45 – Seeding Round for all categories.
• August 16 (Sunday): 08:30 - 11:45 – Official Final Training. 12:00 – THE BIG FINAL of the European Downhill Championships, followed immediately by the official Awards Ceremonies 🏆.
🚨 TOP-TIER MEDICAL SECURITY
Safety is our top priority. Throughout all official training sessions and race days, Mountain Rescue (PSS) teams and medical personnel will be positioned at the finish area and along the entire track. As Bulgaria's capital, Sofia has over 12 operational emergency hospitals. Furthermore, the use of medical helicopters is fully integrated, with a designated landing zone located in the immediate vicinity of the trail for emergency medical services.

👥 PADDOCK AND TEAM AREA
All teams (national and club) wishing to reserve a paddock space for their tents and service areas within the finish zone must submit a request to [email protected] before July 30, 2026.

One of the destination's biggest advantages is its quick and easy access. The main gateway from the city to the mountain is the southern Dragalevci district. From there, an asphalt road leads directly to the "Vitoshko Lale" ski track area.

• August 12 (Wednesday): 15:00 - 18:00 – Accreditation Centre and Permanence Office open.
• August 13 (Thursday): License check and Riders' Confirmation (11:00-12:30 for National Teams only, 12:30-17:30 for all categories). 14:00 - 18:00 – "On foot" course inspection.
• August 14 (Friday): Official Downhill Training by groups (Group A, B, C) from 08:00 to 18:00. 18:00 – Team Managers Meeting at the Finish Race House.
• August 15 (Saturday): Morning Official Downhill Training. 13:45 – Seeding Round for all categories.
• August 16 (Sunday): 08:30 - 11:45 – Official Final Training. 12:00 – THE BIG FINAL of the European Downhill Championships, followed immediately by the official Awards Ceremonies 🏆.
🚨 TOP-TIER MEDICAL SECURITY
Safety is our top priority. Throughout all official training sessions and race days, Mountain Rescue (PSS) teams and medical personnel will be positioned at the finish area and along the entire track. As Bulgaria's capital, Sofia has over 12 operational emergency hospitals. Furthermore, the use of medical helicopters is fully integrated, with a designated landing zone located in the immediate vicinity of the trail for emergency medical services.

👥 PADDOCK AND TEAM AREA
All teams (national and club) wishing to reserve a paddock space for their tents and service areas within the finish zone must submit a request to [email protected] before July 30, 2026.
• For National Teams and UCI Teams: Free 3mx3m spaces.
• For other club/individual teams: €50 per 3mx3m space (registration starts after June 30, 2026).
• All reserved paddock areas (National and UCI registered teams) will have guaranteed access to electricity.
