About this Event
Tyler Film Festival is a celebration of storytelling through film in East Texas. We accept and show short films from all around the world, but we have a special fondness for local independent works.
The Tyler Film Festival began in 2011 after the City re-opened its home venue, Liberty Hall theatre. Our festival is focused on encouraging filmmakers from across the globe and introducing them to cinephiles of all ages and creeds. TFF is a laid-back and film-focused festival.
The 2026 festival award categories will include:
Jury Award/Best of the Festival - $1,500 and trophy
Best Student Film - $800 and trophy
Best Cinematography - $800 and trophy
Best Actress - $300 and trophy
Best Actor - $300 and trophy
Best Young Actor - $300 and trophy
Film with the Biggest Heart - Trophy
Funniest of the Fest - Trophy
Audience Favorite - Trophy
