About the Trinidad & Tobago Steelpan Association of Maryland (TTSPAMD)
The Trinidad and Tobago Steelpan Association of Maryland (TTSPAMD) was officially established in 2024 by steelpan enthusiasts to promote the development and advancement of the instrument at its highest standard.
The goals of the organization are:
- To expose and educate the wider community about the history and legacy of the steelpan, the national instrument of Trinidad and Tobago.
- To impact future generations of musicians and music lovers by providing access to high quality performances, workshops, and networking opportunities.
- To serve as a resource that connects steelpan musicians, ensembles, tuners, and pan makers with other musicians, organizations, and event organizers in the area.
