This year's alumni game will be Saturday, March 14th at 5 pm. We will be back at Frear Park thanks to TC alum Jim Gordon who has once again generously secured the ice for us free of charge.
The alumni game will consist of players from both Troy and Columbia high schools. If you have (or order) a custom TC alumni jersey you can wear that. If not, we have a set of white TC jerseys people can borrow. If we don't get enough players for 2 teams, I'll line up another team to play against us.
We usually open up the game to "friends of TC" (i.e. people who didn't play for the program but are somehow connected to either school) but priority will be given to actual TC alumni and we'll fill in gaps with "friends" if needed as we get closer.
The cost to play is $30 per player and proceeds from the game will be donated to the Capital Cup for Kids, the annual charity hockey tournament benefiting local charities for families with sick kids such as Building on Love and Make a Wish of Northeastern NY.
After the game, folks can head over to Brown's Brewery for drinks and food, whatever you'd like.
Regarding jerseys, I'm expecting custom jerseys with name and numbers will be about $65 each. You can choose between ones that have the TC logo or another style that just says TROY across the chest diagonally. The jerseys are purple with white and gold trim.
Please RSVP for the game by March 2nd. Once we know who's in, I'll settle on rosters and then we'll know what the jersey order would look like. Jersey orders will be due February 23rd (so there's time for those to get made) and registration payment is due March 9th.
