2026 Take A Shot For The Cure

Come join us at Knight Trail Park on Sunday, October 11, 2026 for a day filled with fun, friends, and fundraising! This year's Sporting Clay Tournament is co-hosted by David Perkowski and Chad Evener, two dads on a shared mission to break clays and break the silence around cancer. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a total beginner, everyone is welcome to join in and show their support for a great cause. Let's shoot for a cure and have a blast doing it! See you there!

Why David Wears Pink

My sister-in-law is a survivor of breast cancer; my wife is a survivor of kidney cancer and underwent a preventative double mastectomy; and her father is currently battling metastatic prostate cancer. I am frightened to think of what life would be without my wife; there is no us without her. Cancer has led us to face things head on, together, with courage, and to understand the importance of teaching our children about taking care of themselves; selfcare is healthcare.

Why Chad Wears Pink

I lost my grandmother to cancer when I was just six months old. I've only ever heard how incredible she was, but I never had the chance to experience her presence or be shaped by her love. Over the years, I've seen cancer touch the lives of many people close to me, friends and family alike. Some are still fighting. Some have overcome it. And tragically, some have been taken far too soon. Each of their stories fuels my passion to make a difference. As a son, husband, and father to a young woman, I carry a deep, personal drive to protect the people I love. The thought of my wife, daughter, or mother ever having to face this disease is more than enough reason to do whatever I can to fight back. That's why I'm committed to doing everything possible, whether it's supporting research, raising awareness, or offering a helping hand, to be part of the effort to end cancer and stand beside those affected by it.

Two hosts, one mission. As co-hosts of Take a Shot for the Cure, David and Chad are turning a great day at the range into real dollars for research, patient support, and prevention through the American Cancer Society. Every registration, sponsorship, and donation goes straight to the fight against cancer.
