It’s back! Sunday in the Cemetery only comes around every 2 to 3 years, so don’t miss this chance to see history come to life. Tour participants will be guided to hear the stories of nine people of the past including Nicholas Juliar, grandfather of the Ringling brothers, Reuben Frederick King, Civil War soldier who also survived the Great Peshtigo Fire, Roseline Peck, pioneer settler and homeopathic healer, Frank Schadel, Australian-born circus daredevil, Dick Powell, airplane wing stunt walker, and others. Their personal stories of triumph and tragedy will come to life when told by costumed reenactors at the beautiful and historic Walnut Hill Cemetery and St. Joseph Cemetery. The 2026 Sunday in the Cemetery – Living History Tour is being sponsored by Sage Media, Johnsen Insurance, Terrytown Plumbing, Willowood Inn, Baraboo State Bank, Hill’s Wiring, Spellman Monument, Kwik Trip, Baldwin Funeral Services and Hausmann Group.
