We are happy to announce that the 4th annual Suicide Awareness Symposium will be held on Saturday, September 19th, 2026! The importance of this symposium is two-fold: to strengthen connections and reduce isolation in the community. The most powerful protective factor that we have in Teller County is connectedness. Reducing isolation promotes resiliency, increases our sense of belonging, strengthens our sense of identity, and provides access to larger sources of support.
If you are interested in having a booth, being a sponsor, or providing a presentation, please reach out to Ashlee Shields at [email protected]. We are looking for topics in all areas! The focus this year will be on the power of storytelling.
