2026 State of Infrastructure Summit: ASCE National Capital Section
About this Event
2026 ASCE NCS State of Instructure Summit
Interdisciplinary Resilience in the National Capital Region
The ASCE National Capital Section invites you to the 2026 State of Infrastructure Summit — a full day dedicated to the systems that keep our region moving, growing, and thriving. As the National Capital Region navigates historic federal investment, aging assets, rapid growth, and rising demands for resilience, this Summit convenes the people responsible for meeting those challenges under one roof.
Structured around six "State of" sessions, the program delivers a candid, cross-disciplinary look at where our infrastructure stands today and where it's headed:
- State of Regional Growth, Federal Investment & Workforce Impact
- State of Transportation & Highway Infrastructure
- State of Water, Wastewater & Environmental Systems
- State of Geotechnical & Structural Integrity
- State of Regional Transit & Multimodal Integration
- State of Innovation, AI & Sustainability
Each session features leaders from the public agencies delivering the region's most significant projects — offering pipeline updates, safety and resilience strategies, hard-won lessons, and a forward look at what comes next. Between sessions, a networking breakfast, a dedicated luncheon, and a closing social hour provide space to build the relationships that turn ideas into projects.
Attendees can earn up to 6.0 Professional Development Hours (PDH) across the day.
Who Should Attend
Civil engineers and project managers; public-agency staff and leadership across DC, Maryland, and Virginia; consultants and AEC-firm professionals; academics and researchers; and early-career engineers who will shape the region's next generation of infrastructure.
