The Game Fishing Section is preparing for the return of the Sovereign Blue Marlin Classic, now scheduled for Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 March 2026 following a weather postponement.
With record sponsor support and an expanded prize and entertainment program, the 2026 event is shaping up to be the largest Blue Marlin Classic held to date. Former AFL player and media personality Mark LeCras will be involved in the 2026 event, helping to promote the competition and taking part on the water.
The competition welcomes both experienced anglers and those new to bluewater game fishing, with FSC members and non-members encouraged to get involved.
