LEDA is excited to confirm that the 2026 Southern Illinois Dressage Classic (SIDC) will be held 12th and 13th Sep 26 at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds Horse Arena. Am happy to confirm that our judge is going to be long-time SIDC sponsor and supporter, our very own Barb Wood “R” WDAA. For 2026 we will again be WDAA, WDAIL, LEDA, MISHO and SLADS recognized. In lieu of THT we are lucky to be generously sponsored by Skylars Grove for Thoroughbred awards.
There will again be a full complement of both classical, western and western-gaited classes offered both days, as well as freestyle on Saturday 12th.
Am working on the details for 2026 sponsorships - will post more in 2026 when we have things finalized.
Please remember out-of-state entrants will need an Illinois entry permit which can be requested/obtained online through your veterinarian.
Tentative class offerings this year will include:
Classical: Intro, Training, First and Second levels plus Third and above “Tests of Choice”
Western: Intro, Basic, Levels 1, 2, 3 plus “Tests of Choice” for level 4 and above
Western Gaited: Intro, Basic, TOC for higher levels
Lead-line and Pee Wee classes will be offered both days plus Freestyle on Saturday. If anything changes, will update our "event" posting in the remarks section.
For 2026 we plan to have a concession food truck at the arena available through the day for breakfast and lunch purchases on Saturday and LEDA will again sponsor the Alongi’s pizza, pasta and salad buffet dinner on Saturday evening.
Stabling will once again be in the open-air stalls next to the arena, and the indoor wash racks are of course available to us as well.
Am looking forward to another fabulous show in 2026 – already looking forward to seeing you all again -- this show is one of the highlights of my horsey year - I absolutely LOVE seeing old friends and welcoming new friends -- all our competitors and their equine partners!! Love watching their progress year upon year!!
Traditionally, online entries open the last week of July/First week of August. Am not sure whether we'll have speed boat slalom and water ski jumping along with dirt bike motocross racing in 2026 -- but it sure made things interesting in 2025 lol :-)
