A Taste of Temecula Valley
A Fresh Take on a Beloved Tradition: Oak Grove Center’s Chef Open Returns August 10, 2026 at Galway Downs
Temecula Valley, CA — Oak Grove Center is proud to announce the return of its highly anticipated culinary event, the Chef Open, on Monday, August 10, 2026, at the stunning Galway Downs. This year introduces an exciting new format, transforming the event into a true celebration of the region’s vibrant food and beverage scene.
Formerly known as a culinary competition, the 2026 Chef Open evolves into “A Taste of Temecula Valley” — a dynamic, immersive experience that highlights the incredible talent and diversity of the area’s top restaurants, chefs, wineries, breweries, and bars.
Guests will enjoy an evening of unlimited tastings, where collaboration replaces competition and the focus shifts to showcasing the very best flavors, creativity, and craftsmanship that Temecula Valley has to offer.
“This new format allows us to celebrate our local culinary community in a more inclusive and engaging way,” said Romy Fazeli, Development Director at Oak Grove Center. “Instead of competing, our partners are coming together to create an unforgettable experience for our guests, all while supporting a meaningful cause.”
Set against the picturesque backdrop of Galway Downs, the event will feature:
Signature tastings from premier local restaurants and chefs
Wine selections from Temecula Valley’s renowned wineries
Craft beer and specialty cocktails from local breweries and bars
Live entertainment and an elevated, social atmosphere
Opportunities to connect with the region’s top culinary talent
While the format may be new, the mission remains the same. Proceeds from the Chef Open directly support Oak Grove Center’s programs, which provide critical education, treatment, and support services to at risk and special needs youth.
For more than three decades, Oak Grove Center has been dedicated to rebuilding the lives of children and their families through education, healing, and hope. Events like the Chef Open play a vital role in sustaining these life changing programs.
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are now available. Guests are encouraged to secure their spots early for what promises to be one of the most exciting culinary events of the summer.
