2026 RVA Big Band Weekend

The 6th Annual RVA Big Band Weekend will take place on June 6th, 2026.

This year we will feature two Big Bands for your listening and dancing pleasure.

On Saturday, June 6th, 2026 Glen Boswick And The Sound Of Swing along with Joe Enroughty And His Royal Virginians will take the stage to provide an evening of continuous dance music. Four fabulous vocalists will be on hand to sing some of your favorite Big Band tunes. Doors open at 5:00 PM. Dinner served at 5:30 PM. A FREE dance lesson with Gwendolyn Glenn of "Dance In Class" will take place at 6:15 PM. Both bands alternate dance sets from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Scott Michaels, host of the syndicated Big Band radio show "In The Mood With Scott Michaels," will be on hand to emcee this wonderful evening of continuous dance music.

Gwendolyn Glenn of "Dance In Class" will offer a FREE dance lesson and her "Dance In Class" performance team will provide a dance demonstration at one point during the evening.

$35 - Dancing Only per person

$70 - Dinner & Dancing per person

All tickets include the FREE dance lesson with Gwendolyn Glenn at 6:15 PM.

These Savory Delights will be provided by Butler’s Unique Catering:

• Garden Salad with Tomato, Carrot, Cucumber, Croutons, Dried Fruit, and tossed with Balsamic Vinaigrette
• Pan Fried Chicken Marsala with Mushroom Marsala Sauce
• Garlic Linguini Pasta
• Honey Glazed Carrots
• Dinner Rolls and Butter
• Assorted mini Desserts
• Iced Tea, Water, and Lemonade.

Bottled water will be available throughout the evening.

There will be a CASH BAR available to all attendees.

Tickets can be purchased online with a credit or debit card. No cash, checks, or money orders will be accepted in advance. Dancing only tickets will be available at the door and we will take credit/debit cards and cash (exact change only).

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Please bring a valid photo ID if you plan to purchase alcohol. There is no age restriction.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Richmond East Moose has a large parking lot in front of their building with easy access to the Grand Ballroom. A handicapped entrance is also available. The Big Band Weekend does not offer transportation to and from the event. Attendees may wish to consider taking an Uber or Lyft to the event as alcohol will be available for purchase.

What can I bring into the event?

No outside food or drinks are allowed into the Ballroom. We will have bottled Water available to all at no charge. Alcohol will be available for purchase at the event. Please remember to bring a valid photo ID.

What's the refund policy?

There are absolutely no refunds available for tickets purchased. The Eventbrite fee is non-refundable.

We can scan your online ticket or your printed ticket. Whatever works best for you.
