The Diocese of Lafayette joyfully invites you to the Ordination to the Transitional Diaconate of Haden Coleman, William Hebert, and Eric Hernandez. The ordination will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 10 AM at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette, with Bishop Douglas Deshotel officiating. Please remember these men in your prayers as they take this significant step in the journey toward the priesthood.
Haden Coleman was born in Lafayette and is a graduate of St. Thomas More High School. He completed his undergrad degree in Philosophy at St. Joseph Seminary College in St. Benedict, La. Haden is sponsored by Sacred Heart of Jesus in Broussard and is completing his theological studies at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana. Haden Coleman is the son of David Coleman and Brandi LeBlanc.
William Hebert was born in Lafayette and is a graduate of St. Thomas More High School. He earned a degree in Philosophy and Letters at the University of Dallas while engaged in seminary formation at Holy Trinity Seminary in Irving, Texas. He is sponsored by Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette and is completing his theological studies at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans. William Hebert is the son of Kevin and Dianne Hebert.
Eric Hernandez was born in New Orleans and is a graduate of Lafayette High School. He earned a degree in Philosophy from St. Joseph Seminary College in St. Benedict, La. Eric is sponsored by Our Lady of Wisdom in Lafayette and is completing his theological studies at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Eric Hernandez is the son of Ronald Hernandez and Michelle Hernandez.
