Save the date for the 2026 Richmond People’s Movement Assembly! Join neighborhood networks and grassroots organizations for a day of community collaboration, connection, and empowerment. The annual winter city-wide assembly facilitates a space to connect with our neighbors, create and fortify our networks, and share the skills that will help us meet the challenges that lie ahead AND build alternative futures.

Then join us for the Richmond People’s Assembly. Our annual winter city-wide assembly provides space to find one another, learn together, take action and renew commitments towards the world we want to build.

We are seeking folks for tabling and/or to be part of a directory we will provide for free at the event. If you are interested in either of these please fill out this form. 

Have an idea for a workshop? 

We are seeking proposals for 20 OR 50 minute workshops focused specifically on issue areas identified by the Richmond People's Assembly during 2025. Those are - - - -. 

You can submit proposals for workshops by filling out this same form!

Deadline for workshop proposals is February 8th, 2026.

Preliminary Schedule

• 11-12 : Workshops focused on Organizing
• 12 - 1 : Assembly
• 1 - 2 : Lite Lunch, Tabling
• 2 - 4 : Workshops focused on Issue Areas
• 4 - 5 : Caucus and Neighborhoods/Closing 

Please check back for a full schedule by February 14th.

Accessibility Notes: Childcare will be available. The main assembly will take place in the large hall of the Richmond Public Library, which is downstairs, but there is a working elevator. We strongly recommend masking for this event for those that are able, and will have masks available as well as air purifiers. The Richmond Public Library does not have a mandatory mask policy and is a public community space. Virtual aspect??
