The 3rd Annual Rich Sarrazin Memorial "Old School Classic" takes place on Saturday, March 7th, 2026 at the historic Rich Sarrazin Bowling Center located at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church just north of Downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana which is the ultimate test of bowler skill harkening back to a simpler time in the game. 2026 RICH SARRAZIN MEMORIAL “OLD SCHOOL CLASSIC” - RULES
ELIGIBILITY:
This tournament is a SCRATCH tournament and is open to any ADULT BOWLER (Male or Female). YOUTH BOWLERS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR COMPETITION.
EQUIPMENT/BOWLING BALLS:
Bowling balls in this tournament MUST have been released prior to December 31st, 2000. Each participant is limited to TWO balls during the tournament. EQUIPMENT WILL BE INSPECTED UPON CHECK-IN
LANE CONDITIONS:
Each lane will be HAND OILED prior to the start of competition for qualifying. Lanes will NOT be re-oiled for the duration of Match-Play.
PRACTICE:
10 MINUTES OF PRACTICE will be allowed prior to the start of qualifying. 5 MINUTES OF PRACTICE will be allowed prior to the start of Match-Play.
FORMAT:
QUALIFYING
Each bowler will bowl THREE QUALIFYING GAMES. Bowlers will move one pair to their right following each qualifying game to ensure that each bowler bowls on each pair of lanes respectively. The EIGHT highest bowlers from qualifying advance to “Match-Play” competition.
MATCH-PLAY
OPENING ROUND WILL BE TWO GAMES “HEAD-TO-HEAD” ON THE SAME PAIR OF LANES.
(1 VS 8 / 2 VS 7 / 3 VS 6 / 4 VS 5
The remaining FOUR bowlers will be RE-SEEDED based upon their 5-GAME TOTAL SCORE and placed in a 4-PERSON Stepladder Stepladder Matches will be ONE-GAME ELIMINATION.
STEPLADDER QUARTER-FINALS = SEED 4 VS SEED 3
STEPLADDER SEMI-FINALS = QUARTER-FINALS WINNER VS SEED 2
STEPLADDER FINALS = SEMI-FINALS WINNER VS SEED 1
