About this Event

Lori Waxman / Gluten / Freedom From and Freedom To

As the grounds open at 4pm for self-guided exploration, guests can also witness Ragdale Walks, a series of historical works of ambulatory art curated by Chicago Tribune art critic Lori Waxman from her book Keep Walking Intently. In the 6pm hour, attendees gather behind Ragdale House for a deep conversation and Q&A with Ragdale Ring competition winners Paige Davidson and Julia McConnell of Gluten, an interdisciplinary design studio, as they discuss the process and ideas behind “Front of House” and their larger studio practice. The evening's finale begins at 7pm with Freedom From and Freedom To, a platform where movement and sound improvisors, randomly formed into quartets, create fleeting worlds of dance and music.
