2026 PSRA
About this Event
It’s that time of year again SEMHAC!
It’s time for this year’s PSRA. Join us on August 25th and 27th at the MSU Building located at 3408 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, MI. 48201, from 9am to 4:30pm.
What is PSRA?
Well, Priority Setting & Resource Allocation (PSRA) is one of the most important things SEMHAC does each year. During this process, SEMHAC members work together to decide how federal Ryan White funding should be used to best meet the needs of People Living With HIV in the counties of St. Clair, Lapeer, Oakland, Wayne, Monroe and Macomb as well as the city of Detroit.
To make these decisions, we look at:
- What HIV medical and support services are available.
- How many people have used those services over the past few years.
- What challenges may affect people's ability to get the care they need, such as changes in health insurance or other community issues.
- Information about who is most affected by HIV in our area.
- What people living with HIV tell us about their experiences with the services they receive.
After reviewing all of this information, SEMHAC decides how to distribute Ryan White funding across the various service categories like Medical Case Management, Early Intervention Services, Emergency Financial Assistance, Food Bank/Home Delivered Meals, Housing Services and Medical Transportation. Overall, our goal is to make sure people living with HIV and their families have access to the care and support they need to live healthier lives.
If you’d like to join us, please sign up for one or both days!
