The AEA Professional Rights & Responsibilities Commission will hold its annual statewide conference on Friday and Saturday, April 24-25, 2026, at The Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center, located at 201 Tallapoosa St., Montgomery, AL 36104. Registration will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the hotel's main lobby. The opening session will start at 6:00 p.m. and will include a plated dinner followed by a social event. The conference will continue on Saturday morning. Please note that breakfast will be on your own, and workshops will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by a closing luncheon.
As part of a new AEA initiative, the workshops at this year's conference have been revamped to include fresh ideas and a new approach to educational issues. A legislative update will be provided during Friday evening's general session. Specific workshop topics and additional information will be available in upcoming issues of our Alabama School Journal.
The pre-registration fee is $40 per person; on-site registration is $45. Please note that the registration fee will increase to $45 after Friday, April 10, 2026.
