✨ You can help #EndHomelessness by volunteering for the Point in Time Count on Thursday, January 29, 2026! ✨The Point in Time Count and Survey (PIT) is a yearly, nationwide event with a noble mission: to identify and help individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The information Pinellas volunteers collect during PIT plays a critical role in informing policy makers at the local, state, and national levels, offering a real-time snapshot of Pinellas residents experiencing #homelessness. This invaluable information helps:
💙 Secure millions of dollars in funding for vital resources, including #AffordableHousing
💛 Inform policy at the local, state, and national levels
🧡 Guide local resource allocation and planning
🤍 Drive #advocacy efforts
During PIT, teams of #volunteers (including a Team Leader) survey their neighbors experiencing homelessness in dedicated areas throughout #PinellasCounty, such as meal sites and bus stops. Volunteer shifts are 3-hours long, beginning as early as 6am and ending as late as 7pm.
All volunteers and Team Leaders receive training before January 29th’s PIT event. Of course, volunteers will be given necessary survey supplies before beginning their volunteer shift, as well.
