2026 Pash & Burn Banked Slalom

The first Slash and Burn came to life in 2014 with a collaboration between the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club and Powder Tools, and now today, it is all grown up and is one of the biggest banked slalom events in the U.S. This event has been bringing together the best in the industry along with the best riders in the world, celebrating the entire snowboard community. Open to any snowboarder with a groms-only (under 18) day on Sunday.

We have changed the name to The Pash & Burn Banked Slalom, an ode to Alex Pashley, one of the founders of the event, and more widely loved Snowboard Industry professionals. We lost Pashley last season in the backcountry while he was out doing what he did best – hyping up riders through encouragement, shit talking, laughs, and his contagious love for snowboarding.

This coming season we are going to be raising money in Pashley’s name to be donated to Routt County Search & Rescue + Teton County Search & Rescue, two organizations that were important to him.

Refund policy: Full refunds (less the EvenBrite fee) will be offered for any pulls made before March 11 at 4:00pm. Email [email protected] to request a refund. No refunds will be offered after March 15 for any reason.

Merchandise: All Slash and Burn participants will receive a t-shirt at check in. Sizes will be based on inventory if you register after Sunday, March 1. SWEATSHIRTS- Click to order your 2026 Slash and Burn Sweatshirt! Order before March 1 for free pick up at race check in. They will not be availalbe for purchse at race check so order ahead!

THIS EVENT WILL FILL TO CAPACITY, REGISTER EARLY OR YOU MAY NOT GET A SPOT! There is no on-site registration. Online only. Registration closes at 11:59pm on March 15, but don’t wait until then as it will likely be full well before. To guarantee we will have your size of t-shirt register by Sunday, March 1. Again, register early!

Additional race notes: Snowboards only! Racer check-in is encouraged the day before the race. Check-in at Powder Tools between 9am and 6pm on Friday, March 20.

5. Check-in: Powder Tools on Friday, March 20 from 9am-6pm. Helmets REQUIRED to enter the course.

Monday, March 1: 4 p.m., registration deadline to choose your complementary t-shirt size and order a sweatshirt

• 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Check-In at Powder Tools (2305 Mt Werner Cir, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487)***All athletes MUST check-in at Powder Tools!
• 6:00PM – 8:00PM | CoreNation Rail Jam - at main base of Steamboat Resort
• 8:00PM – 10:00PM | TNF & Pash & Burn Kickoff Party

Saturday, March 21:

• 8am - Christie Lift Opens to competitors - MUST HAVE YOUR BIB load lift before the public

• 8:30-9:30am - Inspection. You will have the chance to slip the course to check it out at this time. NO PRACTICE RUNS
• 9:30am - Moment of silence at venue
• 9:35 - Start of Run 1, Start of run 2 immediately following end of run 1

Sunday , March 22:

• 8 a.m.-4 p.m. GROMS RACE DAY (age: 17 and younger) - Hosted by Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club at Steamboat Resort Bashor Area

*NOTE: Adult Day means adult competitors who may choose to participate in adult activities. Please be mindful of this if you choose to participate or spectate this event.
