RAIN OR SHINE EVENT. Covered outdoor area.
Address: 3607 North Roan Street, Johnson City TN.
Time: Sign-ups start at 9:30am. Gate opens @9am. Comp starts at 10am and course will be closed @9:30am for us to set gates
At that point only the drivers can be on the track that have been called to do their timed runs for the rest of the day.
Parking:
Please park farthest away from front of store in the parking spaces next to the HobbyTown lighted sign next to road or in grass area on left side of building. If you can carpool with friends that would help provide more parking for more people. If you park in grass and you are one of the first people. Please park farther out in grass area so we can fit more people behind you. This was a big issue at last event and we had to stop event to fix parking. We need the parking in front of store reserved for store customers.
We will be doing basic rules and add as we go. So don't worry. Trying to make it easy for those that haven't done it yet. Keep an eye out for updates. We will add as we go. There is a bathroom on site between 10am and 6pm and power as well as vending machine for snacks and drinks. Payment for class entry will be when you sign in cash only $10 Per class.
HobbyTown shop closes at 5pm. If you need something it will need to be done before 5pm. Inside doors will close and the only access to course is on left side of building through the gated area outside.

Rules on points:
Gate Hit: This is when any part of the truck hits either gate. If you hit any part of the gate its 5 points for that gate and the whole gate is dead. You can back through gate once its dead or passed. Even if you hit the gate and it don't move you are still hitting it and you must mark it down. In Pro Classes both gates are live. So if you hit both sides of the gate markers that will be 10 points.
HOG=Hand Of God: If you pick up or flip your truck by hand or touch it in any way that's a 10 point hit each time. This rule also applies to the course on the shelves starting Feb. 2024. So if it falls off the shelves it counts as a H.O.G. The reason for this is we are getting feedback on people that are repositioning the crawlers past that point they fell off of to a better location to bypass the hard section and cut time more or less cheat on a section of the course. So pick the best line and try not to fall.
RTP= Return To Pit: Means that if your truck brakes and you return table to work on it. 20 points
Missed gate: If you skip a gate or miss it, more points will be added. 10 points each
Boundary: N/A This Event
Goal is to have the Least amount of points by the end of your run.
For those that like to CHEAT. We may not see it right away but if we do or get notified about someone that is cheating and from that point on we will keep a close eye on you. If so we will End your run and give a warning and possibly disqualified in that class. If it happens more then once then it could lead to you getting suspended to future events. Lets say if you are scoring your buddy and both of you agree to skip out on marking gates on your score card then both of you are cheating. We want to keep this fair for all and fun.
IF YOUR UNCLEAR ON THE RULES. PLEASE ASK.
We look forward to seeing you at the events. All events will be posted at the outdoor crawler course area and throughout the store. Keep a lookout for updates. Thanks to all.
