2026 New Judges Dinner

The Hamilton Lawyers' Club is pleased to invite our members of the Hamilton Legal Community to the 2026 New Judges Dinner.

This annual tradition brings together the legal community to recognize the exceptional achievements of our colleagues who have made the esteemed transition from the Bar to the Bench.

This year we are celebrating the judicial appointments of:

Justice Andrew J. Spurgeon of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario in Brantford;

Associate Justice Imran E. Kamal of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario in Ottawa;

Justice Fraser McCracken of the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton; and

Former Hamilton Lawyers Club Executive, Justice Brett Moodie of the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe.

Throughout the evening, each judge will be introduced by their respected colleagues and friends, followed by an opportunity to share their own reflections.

It’s a night filled with laughter, celebration, and camaraderie as we honor the achievements of our peers who have made the distinguished transition from the Bar to the Bench.

The New Judges Dinner will include a cocktail hour, and casual dinner featuring delicious hot food stations and open bar.
