About this Event

2026 Nebraska Infectious Diseases Conference

Jointly Provided by:

  • Nebraska Infectious Diseases Society
  • Nebraska Antimicrobial Stewardship Assessment and Promotion Program

Get ready for the 2026 Nebraska Infectious Diseases Conference—an in-person event where interprofessional clinicians involved in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of infectious diseases across the care continuum come together to chat about the latest in infectious disease and antimicrobial stewardship. It's the perfect place to learn, network, and stay ahead in the field. Don’t miss out on the insights and fun discussions happening right here in Nebraska!

The agenda offers three parallel tracks (NIDS, antibiotic stewardship, and long-term care) that allow attendees to tailor their experience based on their professional role and practice setting. When registering, please choose the ticket type (NIDS, Antibiotic Stewardship, Long-Term Care) for the track that you will primarily be attending throughout the day. Attendees may move between tracks for each breakout session.

Target Audience:

Outpatient facilities and acute care hospitals: Family medicine providers, internal medicine providers, ambulatory care providers, pharmacists, nurses, medical directors, quality program leaders, health department officials, and all other health care workers interested in improving the management of common infections through the incorporation of antimicrobial stewardship principles.

Post-acute and long-term facilities: Long-term care providers, medical directors, infection preventionists, nurses, consultant pharmacists, directors of nursing, quality program leaders, and all other health care workers interested in improving the management of common infections through the incorporation of antimicrobial stewardship principles.

Objectives:

· Apply up-to-date infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship guidelines to the prevention, diagnosis, and management of common and emerging infections across settings.

· Integrate diagnostic stewardship principles and available microbiology/advanced diagnostics to optimize antimicrobial therapy in adult and pediatric patient populations.

· Implement practical, context-appropriate stewardship and infection prevention interventions through enhanced interprofessional teamwork, communication, and use of data for quality improvement in diverse and resource-limited practice settings.

To receive credit you must participate in the live session(s) and complete all the steps found in the post-course evaluation link provided by email following the conference.
After following the link, these steps will include:
Reviewing the course learning materials.
