A Summer Evening of Community and Connection: National Night Out 2026
On Tuesday, August 4th, 2026, Memorial Park will transform into a vibrant hub of family fun and community partnership for the annual National Night Out (NNO).
Running from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, this free public event is hosted by the Scarborough Police and Scarborough Fire Departments, coming together under the unifying mission: "Together, we are making communities safer, more caring places to live and work."
Exciting Activities for All Ages, the evening promises an action-packed lineup of entertainment that will delight kids and adults alike. Attendees can look forward to:
- Touch-A-Truck & Helicopter Landing: A major highlight of the night will be a live Maine Forest Service helicopter landing.
- Alongside the aircraft, children will get a hands-on experience exploring emergency vehicles at the Touch-A-Truck display.
- High-Tech & High Energy: Tech enthusiasts can catch a live Drone Demo.
- Kids can burn off some energy in a massive Bounce House provided by Portland Inflatables.
- Sweet & Savory Eats: No community celebration is complete without great food. Families can grab a slice of pizza or cool down with a sweet treat from a visiting Ice Cream Truck.
