The 2026 Music on the Green Summer Music Series at Mariners' Wharf Park is a free outdoor live music concert on Tuesday evenings in August and September, from 6-8 pm at Mariners' Wharf Park on the beautiful downtown Elizabeth City waterfront.
The first FREE concert is scheduled for August 4, 2026. The series will continue through September 22, with September 29 being a Rain Date.
Enjoy musical performances by talented and popular local and regional bands. We also encourage you to visit our downtown restaurants, pubs, and businesses before and after the concerts.
The 2026 Season Lineup:
August 4 — Bobby Plough y Dos Gringos
Acoustic storytelling shaped by Texas country, Americana, Latin influences and Bobby Plough’s distinctive songwriting style.
August 11 — The Band Ryder with CC Dozier
More than two decades of funk, rock and reggae, featuring original music and audience favorites influenced by artists such as Bob Marley and Santana.
August 18 — Stir Fried
A new addition to the Music on the Green lineup, Stir Fried combines vibrant rhythms, acoustic arrangements and powerful vocals in a genre-spanning performance inspired by everything from Motown and Creedence Clearwater Revival to Jim Croce, Adele and Alanis Morissette.
August 25 — Joel Taylor & The HOA Band
Soulful vocals, urban lyricism and poetry woven through hip-hop, jazz, rock, reggae and other musical styles from yesterday and today.
September 1 — Analog Index
An indie-pop trio blending warm analog textures, modern alternative influences, melodic bass lines and energetic guitar work. The group received the People’s Choice Award at Arts of the Albemarle’s January 2026 Battle of the Bands.
September 8 — Post-American Gothic
Elizabeth City alternative rock with soulful vocals, memorable riffs and influences ranging from pop-punk and progressive rock to rhythm and blues and musical theater.
September 15 — Connected
A celebration of jazz featuring accomplished musicians and vocalists from throughout the Northeastern Albemarle region.
September 22 — PBNJ
The season ends with the welcome return of PBNJ, featuring local musicians Paul Langwell, Brandon Dail, Nick Simmons and Josh Quidley performing a lively mix of Motown, rock, reggae and pop.
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket, settle into the waterfront green and enjoy the music and the evening breeze. Admission is free, and no tickets or reservations are required.
