The annual Mumfest MUMosa 5K is back on October 11, 2026 and ready to hit the streets of historic downtown New Bern! Hosted by New Bern Parks & Recreation, this high-energy race is part of the iconic Mumfest weekend — a community favorite packed with music, food, arts, and family-friendly fun.
This year, the wait is over! We’re officially debuting the exciting new route we were ready to roll out last year. Runners will enjoy a partially closed course winding right through the heart of the Mumfest festival footprint, putting you in the middle of all the action!
And because every great race deserves a great finish… enjoy a FREE mimosa at the finish line as you celebrate your run!
Lace up, soak in the atmosphere, and be part of one of New Bern’s most vibrant fall traditions!

Fun Run - $20
5K - EARLY BIRD $30 through August 31st.
$40 September 1 through race day
Register by August 31 to guarantee your race shirt!
Awards – 5K
• Top 3 Overall Male and Female Finishers
• Top 3 Male and Female Finishers in each age category:
10 & Under, 11–14, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70–79, and 80+
