Mo Pitney (born Morgan Daniel Pitney on March 24, 1993, in Cherry Valley, Illinois) is a rising star in neotraditional country music, known for his sincere songwriting, old-school sound, and strong connection to his roots. He began playing drums at age six and guitar at twelve, soon founding a bluegrass band with his brother—a background that deeply influences his music .In 2014, Pitney signed with Curb Records and released his debut single, “Country,” co-written with Bill Anderson and Bobby Tomberlin. The track became a “ToC Critic’s Pick,” praised for its heartfelt, simple sound and marked his commitment to traditional country themes. That same year, he collaborated with legendary producer Tony Brown on his first album.
Behind This Guitar (2016) debuted at #10 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums.
