Marymount University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, in conjunction with Medstar Health Physical Therapy, is proud to announce the 11th annual Marymount 5K run/walk!
Come out for a fun spring race on the Bluemont and Custis Trails.
Post race party to include food, music, and more!
This is a family friendly race – strollers are permitted, however is encouraged that you begin at the rear of the pack.
Pets are not permitted.
Complimentary T-shirts and other 5k swag guaranteed with registration prior to March 19th by 5 PM.
Check-in begins at 7:15 am on the morning of the race.

Students and Faculty travel to Latin America to provide physical therapy where rehabilitation services are limited or do not exist. 5k (Marymount faculty/staff) – $35
5k (Marymount students) – $15
Shirts guaranteed if registered by March 19, 5 pm
Prices will increase by $5 on race day

Live Race Results
Live results will be posted on Athlinks.com. Additionally, there will be a QR code at the race for you to scan to immediately view your results. Final race results with series points will be posted to our website on the Monday following your race.
Runner tracking is now available when you sign up for a race with Bishop’s Events. Click on the green SMS button (see example below) at the end of your registration and have your race updates sent to your mobile device as well as those of your friends & family so they can track your race progress.

Packet Pickup
Packet pickup is available at the event. We recommend arriving one hour before your event start time to check-in. Check-in begins at 7:15 am on the morning of the race.
Race Day Registration
There will be race day registration. Participants will need to arrive approximately one hour before the race to register for the event. T-shirts cannot be guaranteed for race day registers.
Water Stations
One water station will be available along the route.
Restrooms
Restrooms will be available near the start/finish line, however shower facilities will not be available.
Weather Policy
Weekly weather reports are posted on the Thursday before race weekends on our Facebook page. Race officials may delay, change or postpone the event due to weather conditions. All registered runners will be notified via email of any changes. In most cases, a decision is not made until the night before the race, and a decision could come as late as the morning of the event.

Directions to Parking
Packet pickup, bag check, and all race associated events will be located at 1000 N Glebe Rd in the courtyard between Marymount University and the Rixey Apartment building.
Parking is available in the Marymount University garage (use 1000 N. Glebe Rd. parking in GPS) and on the neighboring streets. There will be volunteers on site to help with parking. Race is conveniently located 2 blocks from the Ballston metro.
