Join us to run, walk, or volunteer at Dane County's second annual 5K in the Tunnel to Towers Run, Walk, and Climb Series. The event honors first responders, military members and veterans while raising money for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation's initiatives that support first responder and military members and their families in the event of a catastrophic injury or death in the line of duty. These programs include the Gold Star Family Home Program, Fallen First Responder Home Program, and Smart Home Program. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization, was founded in memory of FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller whose unselfish decision to run in about 60 pounds of gear through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the World Trade Center on 9/11 will be remembered forever. -------------------------------------------------
Our event seeks to honor all those killed on 9/11/2001 in the terrorist attacks as well as to thank our local first responders and military.
