Los Alamos County Fair & Rodeo Parade

Register for FREE to be in the 2026 Los Alamos County Fair & Rodeo Parade happening in Los Alamos, NM, August 7 - 9, 2026! Be a colorful float, marching band, community organization, or individuals, and make your way down Central Ave.!

This hometown parade is a highlight of Los Alamos County's Fair and Rodeo weekend. The parade brings locals and visitors to downtown Los Alamos to celebrate the community's western roots. This event is organized by the Los Alamos County Recreation Division, in partnership with local businesses and organizations.

The 2026 parade theme: TBD

Although there is no limit on how long your entry can be, the height must be low enough to fit under the stop lights on Central Avenue. All floats with combustibles (other than the vehicle's engine) will need Fire Department approval.

Things to note:

- All floats that involve animals are required to clean up any excrement that falls onto the street.

-Arrival time is no earlier than 8:30 am. We ask that you be in place and ready by 9:30 am.

- The week of the parade, we will send out important information via email. The email will contain the line-up and other information. If there is rain, please continue to set up as planned. Depending on how long the rain lasts, the parade may be delayed.

-The staging area will be on Central Ave. just past the 4th Street Roundabout. We will have volunteers help to direct you to your spot and queue you at the start.
