After a 10-year hiatus, Lincoln Zombie Walk is staggering back to life!
We're returning to our original flash mob roots for one unforgettable evening of zombies, resistance fighters, photographers, sponsors, merchandise, and one final showdown between the undead and humanity. Whether you're joining the undead, fighting with the Resistance, volunteering, or watching from the sidelines, we're excited to welcome you back—and introduce a whole new generation to the event that started it all.

🧟 MANDATORY 6:00 PM Pre-Walk Briefing- All Zombies, Resistance members, Victims, and Photographers must attend before the walk begins.

🧟 Come Walk-Ready - Participants should arrive in costume and makeup unless you've reserved a prepaid makeup appointment.
📝 Please Pre-Register - Registration is free and helps us prepare for attendance, staffing, merchandise, and supplies. It also makes your check-in much faster on event day.

All pre-walk activities take place on the south side of Centennial Mall between Q & R Streets.

4:30 PM – 5:45 PM
• Participant Registration & Pre-Registration Check-In (Mandatory for all participants)
• Resistance Nerf Check (Mandatory for all resistance fighters)
• Official Merchandise Booth
• Photo Booth
• Sponsor Booths
5:30 PM
• Mandatory Resistance Meeting & Weapons Check (For the resistance participants only)
6:00 PM
• Mandatory Pre-Walk Briefing
• Long Route departs immediately following the briefing
• Short Route departs shortly afterward
7:00 – 7:30 PM (Begins upon arrival of the Zombies)
• Zombie vs. Resistance Final Showdown

• Last chance for Official Merchandise!
• Last chance for Photo Booth!

Lincoln Zombie Walk officially concludes.
Participants are invited to continue the evening by supporting the Downtown and Haymarket businesses that helped make this year's event possible on our first ever “Zombie Crawl.” Many of our sponsors will be offering special promotions exclusively for Zombie Walk participants. 🧟 BACK TO THE BEGINNING
Lincoln Zombie Walk began in 2007 with a simple invitation posted on MySpace. We had no idea what to expect, but 132 zombies showed up that first year. Attendance more than doubled the second year, more than doubled again the third, and within just a few years, Lincoln Zombie Walk had become one of the city's most anticipated annual traditions.That growth happened gradually, giving us time to learn, improve, and prepare each year.
After a 10-year hiatus, we're once again stepping into the unknown. We genuinely don't know how many zombies to expect—and that's where you can help.
If you're planning to attend, please take a minute to pre-register. It's free, speeds up your check-in, and gives us the information we need to plan staffing, logistics, merchandise, makeup appointments, supplies, and all the behind-the-scenes details that make the event run smoothly.

The future of Lincoln Zombie Walk is in all of our hands.
During our original run, participants helped build a reputation for being respectful, welcoming, and community-minded. If you see someone who may not know the rules, offer a friendly reminder. Together, we can help ensure this year's event is remembered for all the right reasons.
🧟 EVENT RULES
Please help us by following a few simple rules:
• Do not touch buildings, windows, vehicles, signs, artwork, landscaping, or decorations.
• Absolutely no bloody handprints or fake blood on property.
• Pick up anything you drop.
• Please use the trash receptacles provided.
• Cross streets only when directed.
• Follow instructions from Lincoln Zombie Walk staff, event security, and the Lincoln Amateur Radio Club volunteers assisting with communications along the route.
• Respect downtown businesses, spectators, fellow participants, and private property.
• No harassment of participants, businesses, or members of the public.
Remember—all Lincoln Zombie Walk staff and crew are volunteers. They're donating countless hours because they love this event just as much as you do. Please be patient, thank them, and treat them with kindness.
🧟 ARRIVAL
Because we're using a public event space with a very limited setup window, please do not arrive before registration opens at 4:30 PM. Early arrivals make setup significantly more difficult, and we'd appreciate your help by allowing volunteers the time they need to prepare the event.
🧟 WEATHER
This is Nebraska in late August. It may be beautiful. It may be hot.
Please stay hydrated by bringing water or visiting one of our participating sponsors along the route prior to the start of the walk for refreshments and specials.
🧟 PHOTOGRAPHY
We're thrilled to welcome back Studio Orange, the official photographer from many of the original Lincoln ZombieFests.
They'll once again be capturing individual portraits, group photos, and the excitement throughout the evening. Be sure to stop by the photo booth before or after the walk—and if you see the photographers working along the route, give them a smile... or your best zombie stare.
