New this year! The 2026 Klondike lead team will be mushed by Ralph DeQuebec, a double amputee wounded veteran and two-time Paralympic Sled Hockey gold medalist. Don’t miss “Ralph’s Run!”

The Lake Minnetonka Klondike Dog Derby is a world-class sled dog race that brings the incredible sport of mushing to our local community. The 8-dog, 40-mile race will start and finish on Water Street in the heart of historic Excelsior, Minnesota and then run along the beautiful shores of Lower Lake Minnetonka.

The Klondike is a FREE family-friendly event, but your donations help make it a reality! Your tax-deductible donations are greatly appreciated and all net profits from the race will be donated to our non-profit partners: Can-Do Canines, Cast Outdoor Adventures and ICA Food Shelf.
