The State Individual Championships determines state champions for the grades K-1, K-3, 4-5, 6-8, and 9-12. The champions of all sections except K-1 will qualify for US Chess Federation national invitational tournaments.Details:
When: February 28, 2026
Where: 1107 S 17th St, Louisville, KY 40210. This is the former "Wheatley Elementary School", now call "Hudson 6th Grade Academy." It still appears as Wheatley in Google Maps.
Entry Fee: By 25 Feb, $25 for the first child; $6 for each additional sibling. After 25 Feb, first child fee rises to $30.
Winners of K-3, 4-5, 6-8, and 9-12 sections are invited to USCF National Invitational Tournaments.
